 I love taking photographs! I love freezing time in a way that no other art form can. Through photography I can look at a ten-year-old sunset on a beach in California. I can "visit" a Tenant Farmers Shanty in 1920 Georgia. And I can admire the stunning beauty of Lillian Gish when she was 20... or 60!
I prefer B&W images over color. B&W seems to simplify the subject, not in a lesser way but in a way that makes it more important. The values of black and white allow you to explore the natural beauty within the subject without being distracted, or even overwhelmed by color.
