 Joanne Henig is a published photographer whose fine art, landscape and portraiture work has been recognized in numerous gallery exhibits, in publications such as Newsday, and on permanent display throughout the Long Island region. Henig is best known for her stunning, landscape photographs of Long Island. Examples of Henig's body of work can be found in both private and corporate collections, including the Vianna Hotel & Spa- Westbury, NY and The Francis S. Gabreski Airport-Westhampton, NY. Henig also owns and operates Joanne Henig Photography which specializes in portraiture and event photography.
In addition, Henig is the co-founder of Long Island Photo Gallery, a community with opportunity for any level of photographer. LIPG offers its members the opportunity to display and sell their work through the Islip gallery and its website. LIPG also runs photography field trips, critique nights, educational seminars, lead generation and studio space.
"I am a member of various photography clubs, including this one, because I think it is extremely important to continue to learn about new equipment and techniques for photographers. The deeper the knowledge, the finer the art." Henig is also a member of Help-Portrait, a movement of photographers who are using their time, equipment and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate.
