| Long Island Artist - Edward Mooney |
Introducing Edward Mooney a Long Island photographer. He opened his home gallery on Athasca Rd. in Islip, NY in 2010.
Eddie Mooney has been taking photos for over 25 years but didnt begin to share them with the public until 2002.
He spent his very early years in Brooklyn and has a true love for NYC. The rest of his life has been spent on the beautiful south shore of Long Island. Hes lived in Islip for over 20 years. His love of the water and exceptional eyes help capture some breath taking moments. He feels his dyslexia helps him see things in a different light then many people.
Hes captured some great shots from around the Northeast coast. He takes the time to study what he sees in the image. He not only pull out colors from the image into the double/triple matting, but goes all the way out to the frame to give a finished reflection. He thinks of them as moments in time.
Hes a member of the Babylon Village Art Council, Islip Arts Council, Montauk Art Association, Long Island Photo Gallery (LIPG) and Islips Chamber of Commerce.
Hes got some great photos of Montauk, Montauk Lighthouse, the Fire Island Lighthouse, the Brooklyn Bridge, boats, flowers, sunrises and sunsets.
You can see his work exhibited in several galleries on Long Island and also at the Fire Island, Montauk Point and Horton Lighthouses.
